Franz Mayer Museum, located in the Plaza de la Santa Veracruz, opposite to the Alameda Central, houses the main collection of decorative arts and design of Mexico and is home to different art exhibitions, contemporary design and photography. Its creation is the result of vocation and philanthropic mentality of Franz Mayer, Mexico nationalized German collector, from whom the museum is named.
